For my recent trip back to Switzerland<\/strong> and Liechtenstein<\/strong> I was perfectly lucky and enjoyed to weeks with lots of sun and\u00a0temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees.\u00a0Although being there mainly for business, I managed to profit from the beautiful summer\u00a0weather and\u00a0kept\u00a0myself busy with lots of outdoor activities with friends and family.\u00a0The first weekend\u00a0started with the celebration of my brother’s birthday and continued with a visit to the annual\u00a0Luna Park where my godson and\u00a0I enjoyed\u00a0some turns on the Ferris wheel and\u00a0numerous sessions\u00a0with the bumper cars (something I haven’t done for at least 15 years and which brought back some fun memories).<\/p>\n

I spent the weekdays in Zurich and Geneva and\u00a0while out for lunch with a few colleagues –\u00a0including\u00a0a colleague from Hong Kong who visited Switzerland for the first time –\u00a0I half-jokingly suggested that we should take the opportunity and eat a cheese fondue. To our all surprise, my Asian colleague agreed at once and so we were set to\u00a0order a\u00a0platter of meat, a fondue and a bottle of wine. Despite the hot\u00a0temperatures and us sitting outside and in office attire, it was very enjoyable.<\/p>\n

The following days still\u00a0included a\u00a0fair bit of eating, but also some more action. We engaged in\u00a0an activity-filled and fun\u00a0treasure hunt through the city of Berne, we visited friends and our goddaughter (who recently started to walk and kept us busy playing) and I spent a shopping day with my sister. Finally, my partner and I settled for a few days in Malbun where we opted for a hike to Galinakopf (one of many\u00a0peaks in Liechtenstein I have not climbed before even though hiking was a regular activity during my childhood). I really enjoyed to be out and active in the fresh mountain air, along the way\u00a0marvelling\u00a0at the beautiful alpine flowers and on the top being rewarded\u00a0with an amazing view over the mountains.<\/p>\n

We also spent time together with both our families and did some Liechtenstein sightseeing.\u00a0On our last day, we met with friends\u00a0for a\u00a0nice walk, followed by a delicious dinner and one or two bottles of wine.\u00a0It was\u00a0a fun and relaxing\u00a0evening, a perfect end to this trip.<\/p>\n
